This little guy gives me so much joy in my life. I love the way he talks, his smile, and even his little quirks. My only problem is why won't he potty in the toilet. I am not saying he never does, he just is not interested in telling us. We have to constantly take him. I just want him to be half way interested. He will be three next month and I don't plan on having my three year old in pull-ups forever. I was looking back thru my posts and noticed we have been working on this thing for awhile now. I have decided I am officially the worst potty training mommy. Now I must say I did potty train my older two but they were both three. So maybe three is the magical number for my family. I was just hoping for a little more success this time around.

Oh Please Cherrie don't be so hard on yourself. It was I who was the worst potty training mom ever. Alex was Four (thats right) four years old when he finally dediced to stop wetting his pants. He also wouldn't talk much until then either. Amy potty trained at about the same time. But Alex has done just about everything in his own good time. Usually later than the other kids. I don't think he is mentally retarded or anything, but if ye is not interested in something...end of story. He is in Kindergarten now and just hates it. Except for PE which he excels at. Makes me think of MOOSE from the Archie comics. Good luck though it will come in time. Love Ya.
Both of my kids were 3 before they were potty trained. I had tried and tried before then, but they didn't officially stop pottying and pooing in their pull ups until after they were three. "Experts" say, don't worry about potty training until they are ready, it will just be a lot of wasted time and effort until they are actually "ready". I don't know who the "experts" are, but that's what I've heard ;)
awwwww your a good mommy, and kids are not all the same including when they decide they want to go potty in the toilet my mom said i was her worst i was to interested in playing and my siter was 18 months when she was potty trained it was funny she was still nursing but would go potty in the toilet totaly backwards if you ask me lol just dont be hard on yourself he will get the hang of it
love ya
I have found potty training to be much easier after they turned 3 also....I guess that's our magical number too. He will do it when he is ready, and it has nothing to do with your parenting skills. Your a great mom!
Yikes! Not looking forward to potty training the little girl I baby-sit! I already tried it, and she wasnt interested in it at all. But she's also only going to be 2 years in April...so we'll see how that goes =s
Don't get too discouraged. Sure hope three is your magical number, I know it's hard potty training, and I'm not even the mother, so I have never had the brunt of the load. Good Luck!
He is such a cutie! Potty training is such a chore, I lucked out and all 3 of my kids potty trained pretty easily, nothing I did believe me..LOL
I am patting my back right now that I actually have all my kids potty trained!!! BUT...hold on there! Before you think I'm patting a little too hard... I have one more child to "get a driver's license". Whoa...you think potty training is hard...wait until you have to teach them to drive with YOU in the car! Now they have YOUR life in THEIR tiny (?)little red hot hands... take a breath Cherrie...I guarantee it's only going to get more interesting!
One of the dreaded, dirty words. I think the best way to potty train is to CALM down. Then just keep on it will come, consistency, that's the word. Sorry your suffering with it.
