Finally Done!

Awhile back I had posted on how I was making some baby bands and some baby blankets. So I decided to go ahead and get some pictures of them on here. I have never made blankets before but I was in the mood to do something. I am really pleased with the outcome. Now don't look to hard you might see all my mistakes.

This is a picture of the dinosaur blanket that I started years ago for Elisha and just finished for Samuel. It took so long to sew around those dinosaurs.

I went ahead and made two little girl blankets just in case. But more than likely its going to be a boy.

The baby bands that I made for this new little. I made two different types, not so sure which one I would like best. I think the ones with the arms will be really nice. They have velcro on them so no more safety pins to hold them into place. I am very proud of myself since I am not much of a seamstress. But I am learning and teaching myself.

Looking good Miss Crafty. I love the dinosaurs and the black and pink number too. I had two baby girl outfits just in case Wyatt was a girl. I wasn't going to waste my money on it, knowing the Lord showed me Wyatt was coming.

And I want the baby band pattern too. Old fashioned baby bands seem to work best.

Very nice! The blankets are so cute. Now maybe this is a dumb question but what is a "baby band"? I have never heard of them so you have got me wondering.

Jackie: We use the baby bands right after the baby is born to help with the belly buttons. Some kids can get a outie belly button if not careful. And they also say its good for support of there backs. I have used them with all of my kids. It also helps to keep the cord sterile till the cord releases on its own.

I want the baby band pattern! Where did you get it and why oh why didn't I ever hear of these things when I was having babies?

Sis. Lori: I will let you make a pattern from mine when we get out there. Lee's mom has been using them forever. We are scheduled to move on the 7th of July.

Both of my girls have outie belly buttons. Jada's is better now and JoHannah's is getting better too. But I wish I would have known about those when they were little!

Wow! Lookin' nice! All those baby blankets, and even the bands are soooo adorable! I just love anything to do with babies! Probably a good thing, since Mom had 8 babies after I was born. But I don't remember them all, of course, and also, I probably love anything to do with babies just because of the fact that our family had so much experience! And good experience, too!

The blankets are just beautiful, all the more so because their made by a momma's loving hands. I've also never heard of baby bands till now! How sweet to learn something from my other Sisters. Our family is keeping your move in our prayers. Hope to see your dear faces again soon.

The blankets are so cute! It looks like you did a great job. When I was pregnant with Christian I made some baby bands out of flannel. They were so nice and soft! Now I have so many bands that have been given to me that they are going out of my ears! They're something I hate to get rid of though.
